Muslims have this false impression about performing Hajj when
one is free, old and is discharged from all responsibilities. That is not
factual as young age is the best time to go on pilgrimage and to perceive
greatest rewards from Allah. Question why young age?
When Young, Perform Hajj
Being young is a rare chance to seek forgiveness from sins and
for turning to the Creator to accomplish Paradise. Sometimes it’s difficult for
the ones who study full time or do not have enough means financially or are
trapped on loans. Hajj in these case, do not become an obligation.
But if a young person spends on needless traveling, vacation
or any other trip then he/she can easily make it up to the House of Allah. Hajj
becomes an obligation when you’re physically and economically well.
Life Doesn’t Give You One More Chance
Life is totally unpredictable. We do not know what will happen
next or whether we would be breathing next second or not. Taking life for
granted is a human nature. At a young age, we tend to keep the worldly things
prior and don’t think for religious duties. Majority of the Muslims do plan for
performing pilgrimage in their last days of life. This is the wrong perception
overall.
Six Reasons to Perform Hajj While Young
1.
The Door Is Not Open Every day
It is not necessary that the door to the House of Allah always
remains open. If today, you’re getting a complimentary ticket to perform Hajj,
maybe you don’t get it tomorrow. Leaving on the next chance can make your dream
unfulfilled as life is short.
2.
Purification of Sins
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said,
“One who comes to this House for Hajj and avoids
all lewdness and sins, he returns as he was on the day his mother gave birth to
him.” (Bukhari and Muslim).
It is obvious from above that it is totally logical to perform
this obligation at a young age when you can purify your sins for a long-term.
Saving it for later can postpone your deeds purification.
3.
Prayers Are Answered
The supplication is one of the most prominent reasons for why
doing it at a young age. Youth is the age of uncounted desires and you can get
all your supplications answered on Day of Arafah.
4.
Poverty- Release
Hajj is a blissful journey. Those who suffer poverty in daily
life get released from it and it might lead towards ending of their rough days.
Therefore keep on performing Hajj/Umrah as it eliminates the impurities.
5.
Utilize Young Age
It’s a chance to rebirth your good deeds and makes them evil
free at an early age. Take advantage of your good health and free time in
availing the greatest reward of a lifetime. No matter what, you will start
benefiting from every bit of your youthful energy during the pilgrimage.
6.
The World Experience
Lessons experienced at an early age have a forever impact on
life. One of the major lessons includes empowering equality of all human
beings. Muslims witness and practice Allah’s devotion and reverence. Going
through this vast experience makes hearts and minds open for other Muslims and
make oneself a good human.
