Million of Muslims Head to Makkah to Perform Hajj 2022

Millions of Muslims all around the world have started coming in the Saudi Arabian city of Makkah ahead of the yearly Hajj pilgrimage, a middle pillar of the Islamic faith that re-enacts the events of the Prophet Muhammad (PBHU) from more than 1,400 years ago.

People attending worship from more than 150 countries started gathering soon in the city, one of the blessed sites in Islam, to get ready for the five-day pilgrimage which starts on 5th July 2022.

A religious trip meant to cleanse the true of sin and get them closer to Allah SWT, this year's Hajj 2022 is expected to attend by more than 1.5 million pilgrims.

To address safety concerns, nearly a thousand new observation cameras have been installed at the Makkah Grand Mosque, which will check crowd numbers, and the Jamarat stoning (a symbolic stoning of the devil based on historic custom) will be more strongly controlled than in earlier years.

Also for the first time, pilgrims will be given electronic bracelets storing individual and medical in a sequence that will assist authorities to give care and recognise people.
