Female Authority in Today’s Muslim World

Women have managed to break through the glass ceiling irrespective of how religion had been used to control women. Women in the Muslim world now have careers and can drive around to their desired destinations. The cynicism, rapes, catcalling, acid attacks, or a gun wounds couldn’t stop women to make it in the international arena, Malala represented women in the United Nations apart from all the conspiracy theories, Benazir Bhutto still stood up and men had to gun her down to shut her voice.

The biggest part of this battle revolves around the way women dress, of offices women have to cover up, whether it is a coordinator at the airport or an office job, because somehow dress code can decide whether a woman’s character is good or bad. So this is a drawback for the success of this gender.

Commuting is another issue in the Muslim world, the finest of its example is women not allowed to drive around in Saudia Arabia or women who do drive around are subject to dangers. Such as there was one trend in Pakistan, where women who drove around would be cornered and abducted for an assault, all such behaviors a hindrance to the progression of this gender.

The main reason for any woman to succeed is supported. To climb up the ladder the women need the support of the family. In the Muslim culture, it is mandatory for the women to get married at a very young age. But women who dodge the loopholes bravely and face criticism as a result, but still manage to stand on their ground have been seen to become successful.
Of course women who want to be successful have to have a plan and entrepreneurship has also played its part. Where women start their own businesses either online or regular businesses, the know-how also counts as a main factor contributing toward a female generated business. As without the knowledge of the market it is impossible to move along.

Though marriage is a mandatory life decision that women are bound to make it hasn't stopped women from conquering their dreams. There have been married women who not only are successful leaders outside of their homes but have also become successful wives and parents.

Divorce is a frowned upon occurrences in Muslim societies but that doesn't stop divorce from happening. In the Muslim world women suffer more as widows and but still women face even such challenges without any fear of what the society would say and such women truly have conquered the success ladder.



Women face tough realities and challenges in the Muslim society still women have managed to break through the stereotypes and myths and have proven that apart from being wives and mothers they also can be successful business leaders or authority figures in different careers.
